Volunteer
" Trixie is a young Red Setter Cross who was rescued from a very bad situation where she was kept in a small, over-grown back garden 24x7 without walks, attention, and frequently went hungry. When our DAR volunteer was contacted to help rehome her, she visited Trixie to assess her temperament and left shaken and even more determined to get Trixie out of her situation ASAP as this kind and gentle dog deserved a much better life. Within a few days, Trixie was taken into DAR care and she was subsequently rehomed to a very caring and loving couple who have changed Trixie's world and given her a life she has never known. It is cases like this that make volunteering for DAR rewarding knowing the fact that you've made the difference to the life of one more animal."
Are you an animal lover and want to make a difference?
Drogheda Animal Rescue operates through a number of dedicated volunteers, each of whom hold down a full time job and/or have a family. Without these committed, dedicated & caring people, we could not continue our efforts on behalf of the animals.
There are a lot of volunteer opportunities within Drogheda Animal Rescue. Whether you want to get stuck in and help out with the animals, or would prefer not to get your hands dirty and help with the fund-raising side of things, there is something you can do for DAR!
We are always on the look out for dedicated and committed volunteers who can help us carry out the rewarding work we do. You can donate as much or as little time as your schedule will allow. Even one hour per day or per week would help us out tremendously!
Please look through the Volunteer sub-sections to see if there is anything that interests you. There are always new opportunities arising and if you feel you have something different to offer, then we'd love to hear from you!
